Join the Department of Geography & Planning and the School of Cities for an afternoon exploring how artificial intelligence is reshaping quantitative geography and planning. The event features two short talks and a panel discussion bringing together academic & industry perspectives.

  • Professor Renee Sieber (McGill University) – a leading scholar in geographic information science, critical GIS, and participatory mapping, with a strong focus on the social and ethical implications of data and AI.
  • Professor Peter Kedron (University of California, Santa Barbara) – research focuses on spatial data science, transportation, and urban systems, with recent work examining how machine learning can advance quantitative spatial analysis.
