Drawing across the Disciplines: Fieldwork Workshop – Dec. 4, 2026

Session Description

The workshop will focus on examining good practices when preparing and doing fieldwork. Case studies will illuminate how different disciplines think with fieldwork and offer insights into university resources for compliance and safety when carrying out fieldwork. Particular attention will be paid to ensuring considerations of safety, equity, and inclusive fieldwork practices. 

Participants will leave the workshop with written guidance for their lab/team/group when pursuing fieldwork. The guidance can be used as part of a lab book or on a research website. 

**please note that faculty are welcome to bring additional team members to the workshop, however, each person must complete a registration form individually***
