Exhibition: In the Quiet of Everyday Life: Indian and Pakistani Diaspora Lives in the GTA – Oct 9-17, 2025

Principal Investigator and Curator: Hema Ganapathy-Coleman (Department of Psychological and Brain Sciences, University of Toronto Mississauga), with 14 UTM undergraduate research assistants and 15 community co-creators.

Artistic Collaborator: Laura Honsberger.

This exhibition, based on community-based and participatory research using Photovoice, invites you to see Indian and Pakistani immigrants differently, beyond the stereotypes of a culturally homogeneous visible minority. The exhibition highlights the profundity of the intentional, varied, and meaningful lives of this community.

Opening Reception: Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 6:00 PM.

Exhibition Dates: On view through October 17, 2025.
