Project Jupyter is a non-profit, open-source project that supports interactive data science and scientific computing across programming languages.
This session will provide a basic overview of Jupyter, the use of Jupyter Notebooks and Labs to create interactive computing environments and introduce the resources available through SciNet to support JupyterHub notebook sessions.
The session will explore the use of Jupyter from the perspective of different use cases.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the Jupyter Hub and the Jupyter resources available for researchers.
- Identify the benefits of utilizing Jupyter to support interactive data science and scientific computing.
- Locate and follow start-up procedures for new users.
- Differentiate Jupyter Hub for research (SciNet) and teaching (ACT)
