Join us on October 30 at 12 noon for the next OVPI Fireside Chat focused on how up-front thoughtful co-design and co-production of research collaborations with communities/stakeholders can pave the way for longer-term impact. Our panel discussion will include Kristin Corbett, Senior Strategic Knowledge Translation Officer at Canada’s International Development Research Centre; Dr. Laura Rosella, Professor and Division Head of Epidemiology at the Dalla Lana School of Public Health, who leads an innovative research program focused on developing cutting-edge methodologies to guide policy decision-making to improve population health, enhance equity, wellbeing, and health system performance; and Dr. Paty Romero Lankao, Professor of Sociology & Physical & Environmental Sciences and the Canada Excellence Research Chair Network for Equity in Sustainability Transitions (CERC NEST).
The panel will discuss the importance of appreciating and engaging the knowledge, agency, and interests of the communities who are the focus of research, and how, through collaboration and shared research visions research is more likely to have a longer term impact.
