Academics Without Borders – May 26, 2021

Session Description

May 26, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

University of Toronto is a member of the Academics Without Borders (AWB) Network.  At this Fireside Chat, we would like to introduce you to the work AWB does and how you can get involved. Academics Without Borders’ mission is to help developing countries continue to develop their universities so that they can train their own experts and conduct research to assist in their countries’ development. Academics Without Borders’ projects are involved in the full range of university activities from expanding existing institutions and programs to helping create new ones.

The University of Toronto’s place in the AWB Network is a meaningful expression of our shared belief that Canada’s universities can be an important force in promoting global development by working with our sister institutions of higher education in some of the lowest income countries in the world as they strive to increase the capacity and quality of their programs.

Join AWB Executive Director Greg Moran and Associate Executive Director Corrie Young to learn more about the organization and opportunities for U of T faculty and staff to get involved in international projects.
