Finding the right mentors for your research doesn't happen by chance - it requires researchers to reflect on their current network and think strategically about where there may be gaps. In this session, we will introduce CRIS’ new Foundations in Research Mentorship Online Guide, a roadmap to support faculty as they develop and cultivate academic mentoring relationships throughout their research career. Central to this, we will explore the NCFDD’s Mentor Map, a practical tool for identifying the mentors that your research needs. Participants will map their current research mentor network, identify unmet needs relative to their research goals, and come away with a clearer sense of who to seek out to fill those gaps and strengthen their research trajectory. This session will equip faculty with evidence-based frameworks that help identify their research mentorship needs and engage more intentionally with their mentors.
