REDCap Basic Training I – Feb. 19, 2021

REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture) is a free and secure web application that can be used to build and manage online surveys and databases. REDCap was introduced to the University of Toronto research community in 2019 and can be used for online and offline data collection.

In this first webinar of the REDCap training series, participants will be trained on the basic functions of the REDCap. Basic features to be covered in the training include:

  • Basic overview of the REDCap interface
  • How to create a new project and enable an instrument as a survey
  • Methods of Inputting data
  • Developing and inputting survey questions
  • Data distribution
  • Data collection
  • Exporting data to other software such as Excel, SPSS, SAS, R and STATA
  • Assigning User rights
  • How to submit changes in your survey
