This workshop explores the historical and ongoing impacts of treaties, government policies, and colonial laws on Indigenous sovereignty, land rights, and resistance. Participants will examine key policies like the Indian Act, residential schools, and the Sixties Scoop, fostering dialogue on Indigenous resilience, identity reclamation, and self-determination amid ongoing colonial structures.

Please be aware that smudging, which involves the burning of sacred herbs such as sage or sweetgrass, may be present during our workshops. We acknowledge that some participants may have smoke allergies or sensitivities to scent.
