The CCP Presents “Unpacking Ableism 101,” A Workshop for Community Organizations – Feb. 24, 2023

Session Description

When it comes to anti-oppressive frameworks, there are comprehensive resources on how to be race and gender inclusive. However, while many understand that ableism is wrong, we might struggle with how to identify and unpack it. This workshop, led by facilitators from the Community Resistance Intimacy Project (CRIP Collective), addresses ableism within an intersectional framework, defines accessibility and accommodations, and helps participants engage meaningfully with anti-ableist discourse. The goal of this workshop is to introduce participants to a foundational knowledge of ableism and address how it can show up in an organization.
