IP Matters: Trade Secrets, Data Governance & Privacy

Session Description

March 21, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

How a venture maintains confidential information, trade secrets and governs data as a commercial asset is a critical element of Intellectual Property strategy. In addition to filing patents, startups need to consider how to maintain privacy and to safeguard proprietary information and data as part of their technology and business strategy.

Join us for an interactive panel discussion that will cover aspects of Technology Law as a means to protecting your Intellectual Property.

This session will be moderated by Craig Aitken, Lawyer and Founder of Aitken Legal Professional Corporation and U of T alumnus. It will feature real-world insights from entrepreneurs, legal experts, and researchers. The second half of the session will feature a “camera’s off, Ask Me Anything” opportunity for attendees.
