Open Research in a Changing Geo-Political Landscape Conference – Oct 7-8, 2024

Session Description

The University of Waterloo, in collaboration with U of T, the University of Ottawa and Toronto Metropolitan University, will be hosting the “Open Research in a Changing Geo-Political Landscape” conference on October 7-8, 2024,  in Waterloo, Ontario.

Attended by academic researchers, librarians, funders and policymakers, this conference will look at the current state and future directions of open research, tackling the central question of what it looks like in an ever-changing geopolitical landscape. Discussion topics include science diplomacy, the intersection between open science and safeguarding research and what open access means through international perspectives.
