Introduction to Research Data Management for the Digital Humanities (in-person) – Oct. 17, 2024

Managing research data is an important part of any research project and when done right can save you time and effort. In this session, participants will learn about current requirements and best practices for managing research data at all stages of a research project. Topics covered include:

  • Research data in the Digital Humanities context
  • Journal and funder requirements
  • Data management planning
  • Organizing research data
  • Securing research data
  • Data retention and preservation
  • Data sharing

Location: Robarts Library, 4th floor electronic classroom, room 4033

Prerequisites: There are no prerequisites or prior knowledge required for this workshop.

Audience: This workshop is designed for U of T students and researchers engaged in the Digital Humanities, but is open to anyone. We are also offering a more general Research Data Management workshop on September 25th from 10am-12pm that is appropriate for all disciplines.
