Introduction to Network Analysis and Visualization Using Gephi – Part 2

Session Description

Through a combination of lecture and activities, and building upon part 1, this 2-hour workshop will introduce key network analysis metrics, their basic applications, and how to calculate them using Gephi. For our example, we will be working with larger networks concerning political twitter data for particular hashtags.

After taking this workshop, participants will be able to:

• Identify key network analysis metrics and their uses
• Calculate network statistics in Gephi
• Apply basic network metrics to a real world dataset
• Use Gephi to create dynamic graphs that change over time
