New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) Exploration 2025: Strategies for Success

Session Description

August 27 2025 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

The Centre for Research & Innovation Support, in collaboration with Research Services Office, is hosting a webinar on the upcoming New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF) - Exploration 2025 competition, for the University of Toronto community.

The objective of the Exploration stream is to support high-risk, high-reward, and interdisciplinary research. It seeks to inspire projects that bring disciplines together beyond traditional disciplinary or common interdisciplinary approaches by research teams with the capacity to explore something new that might fail but that has the potential for significant impact.

This session will feature a faculty discussion focused on sharing insights into the adjudication process, best practices, and proposal tips.

This session will also include a general overview of the NFRF-Exploration competition, budget considerations, and the application process and deadlines. A question & answer period will follow.
