This 1.5 hour session will cover the core principles of the My Research Human Protocol (MRHP) system, and the main functions within key roles including:- Faculty PI / Supervisor
- Create original submission, amendment, renewal
- Respond to requests for revisions from REB reviewers
- Designate PI Assistant
- Designate Student PI
- Forward task to PI Assistant
- Review a student protocol
- Display protocol approval letter
- Track status of protocol
- PI Assistant
- Get access
- Develop protocol forwarded by PI
- Return protocol to PI
- Display approval letter
- Track status of protocol
- Student PI
- Get access

Learning Objectives
After completing this session, the attendee will be better able to:- request access to the MRHP system
- identify the three system roles (Faculty PI/Supervisor; PI Assistant and Student PI)
- understand the stages and workflow in the MRHP review, and required steps at each stage
- create and submit a human ethics research protocol
- track the status of a human ethics research protocol and manage related documents
- revise and resubmit a human ethics research protocol returned by reviewers for revision
