Accessible Digital Ecosystems for IT Leaders – Nov 19, 2025
Session Description
November 19 2025 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This session will provide IT leaders with key strategies to create and maintain accessible and inclusive working environments. Together, we will identify the critical elements of digital ecosystems that support the design of barrier-free systems and the creation of accessible content. By delving into strategies for procuring accessible technologies and the infrastructure that supports accessible digital ecosystems, we will identify concrete actions IT leaders can take to ensure the University’s systems and processes are accessible. We will also explore ways to support team members in developing the competencies necessary to meet digital accessibility design standards
Learning Objectives:
- Identify the foundational components of accessible digital ecosystems
- Evaluate strategies for procuring and implementing accessible technologies, assessing and selecting digital tools and platforms that meet accessibility standards
- Develop actionable plans to support accessibility across systems and processes, while, supporting team development in digital accessibility competencies
Session format:
- 2-hour, hybrid using Teams
- The session will be presentation based with opportunities for participants to ask questions and engage in the topic.
- Participants will be asked to provide answers to some questions using MS Teams polls and third-party platforms like Menti.
- Participants are invited to engage in ways that work for them. Chat participation is welcome, however we ask that this be restricted to specific Q&A sections of the presentation, to avoid distraction.
