The Centre for Research & Innovation Support (CRIS), in collaboration with the University of Toronto Libraries (UTL) is hosting a 90-minute webinar on Bibliometrics.
This session will introduce participants to Bibliometrics and altmetrics that can be used to measure a broad range of scholarly impact. Through the use of case studies, the session will provide insight into the value these tools can add when used appropriately. Participants will also learn about resources and tools that are available to the University of Toronto community. Presentations will be followed by a brief Q & A period.
Learning Objectives
At the end of this session, participants will be able to:
- Identify examples of tools and metrics used to measure research impact
- Discuss altmetrics to measure a broader range of scholarly activities and impacts
- Access University bibliometric tools and resources
- Understand the importance of using metrics responsibly
