CBRCanada Community of Practice: “ChatGPT as Junior Researcher” – Sept. 8, 2023

Session Description

September 8, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

This event is hosted by CBR Canada.

September Topic: “ChatGPT as a Junior Researcher: Exploring how AI could and maybe shouldn’t yet be used for data analysis” with guest speaker Dan Vandebelt, Waterloo Region Immigration Partnership.

This workshop will delve into various ways to use AI for research. We’ll explore ChatGPT’s practical applications and limitations, and specifically its role in qualitative analysis theme development and summarizing large amounts of diverse qualitative data. We’ll breakout into small groups where you can share your own insights, challenges, and resources in a collective exploration of AI’s use within community-based research at this time.

Community of Practice meetings actively bring together CBRCanada members from across Canada and beyond to engage in meaningful discussions, network with others, learn from each other, and exchange best practices. All involved in community-based research are welcome, whether you are a researcher, peer-researcher, student, project coordinator, administrator, director, or community leader.
