
CFI JELF Application: Strategies for Success – July 17, 2025

The Division of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation is hosting an upcoming information session on strategies to develop a successful application to the Canada Foundation for Innovation John R. Evans Leaders Fund (JELF). This session will feature faculty members at the University of Toronto who have recently been awarded a JELF and members of the Research Services Office. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from faculty members who will share their experiences crafting successful proposals, including lessons learned and practical tips. The Research Services Office will then highlight recent trends in reviewer scores and feedback, including common weaknesses among unsuccessful applications, and will provide practical guidance on fully addressing the JELF assessment criteria and enhancing your chances of success. A Q&A period will follow.
