The CRIS Connects series provides targeted, real-time help from guest experts. These drop-in sessions are designed for you to come and ask our guest experts anything on their topic of expertise. Join other UofT community members and learn together as you get your questions answered.

Join us for the next session CRIS Connects: Research Security with guest expert Paul Jarrett, Director Research Security, VPRI. This session will focus on the new requirements introduced by the federal government to enhance research security. Under the new Policy, researchers whose work is advancing a Sensitive Technology Area (STRA) must complete new requirements when applying for grant funding from the federal Tri-agencies and CFI.

Paul Jarrett will be available to answer questions such as:

• Is my area of research covered under the Sensitive Technology Research Areas?

• Would I be considered to have an affiliation with a Named Research Organization?

• How do I provide an attestation?

• How do I prove that my previous affiliation has ended?
