Session 3: In Conversation with...
Dr. Sonia Kang,
Canada Research Chair in Identity, Diversity, and Inclusion

EDI initiatives and programs must include frameworks that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Timely (SMART). To inform evidence-based practices that are SMART and consider all aspects of EDI, the collection of demographic and more expansive EDI qualitative data about the experiences of our community for events and programs, especially those from underrepresented groups, must be collected. EDI data comes in many forms and are used for various purposes across programs and initiatives in the office of the VPRI. In this session Dr. Nicole Kaniki will discuss with an equity data expert from UofT, the recommended best practices and mechanisms available for this work.

Attendees are invitedto join the conversation by sharing your ideas, candid questions, expertise, successesand strategies!
