This interactive information session will help early careerand newly appointed faculty members understand their funding options for thecoming year and provide strategies for developing long-term research fundingpathways. It will include specific information about internal U of T fundingopportunities and external SSHRC opportunities; and it will include tips andstrategies for developing project-based research proposals and coherent,supportable budgets. 

This faculty-focused session will offer faculty members theopportunity to ask the A&S Research Services team questions pertinent totheir research goals.

Learning Objectives

After this session, attendees will:

-        Understand the key funding opportunities available to them and be able to differentiate among them

-          Develop a project-based approach to research funding that will enable them to craft competitive proposals

-          Identify and locate resources within the Faculty of Arts and Science, within U of T and beyond to assist in them in securing research funding.
