The Edwin S.H. Leong Centre for Healthy Children Trainee Hub has partnered with the Research Training Centre at The Hospital for Sick Children for its next event titled From Engaging to Empowering Community: Best Practices for Community-Engaged Research Co-Design on Tuesday, April 9th at 12-1pm (EDT) in the Gallery of the Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning (686 Bay Street, Toronto; second floor). This is an in-person event.

The Trainee Hub is an initiative that brings together graduate students, post-doctoral research fellows, and clinical trainees who are interested in learning about the foundations, ethical dimensions, and planning for community-engaged research.

You will hear from a panel of speakers about the importance of pre-engagement planning in the research process, strategies to engage community partners in the co-design of research, and potential areas for enhancing engagement in future community-engaged research. Panelist speakers include: Dr. Daphne Korczak; Vina Mohabir; Dr. Victor Do, and; Dr. Francine Buchanan.
