Getting Started with Library Database APIs

This session occurs at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus and is part of the Digital Scholarship @UTSC Series.

Many scholarly publishers, databases, and products offer APIs to allow users with programming skills to more powerfully extract data to serve a variety of research purposes. Come learn about APIs and how you might employ them in your own work.

Audience

Computer Science students, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and faculty members with some programming abilities or interest.

Additional instructions

If you are affiliated with the St. George or UTM campus please complete the lab visitor access request webform prior to the session so that you will be able to use the computers in the lab. Alternatively, you may wish to bring your own computer.
