This session will introduce participants to the basics of Inventions, Commercialization, and Entrepreneurship at the University of Toronto. Through case studies, the session will provide insight into the resources and options available to researchers through the institution and outside it. Presentations will be followed by a brief Q & A period.

- the steps of disclosing and protecting research discoveries at U of T
- the University’s policies and processes around inventions emerging from academic research
- How the IPO and various UofT incubators/accelerators can help with the invention and commercialization process through specific case studies
