JHI How-to: Leverage the Mitacs Globalink Program, for Humanities Researchers – Apr. 8, 2025

Session Description

April 8 2025 @ 11:00 am - 12:30 pm

Join the Jackman Humanities Institute for a workshop on Mitacs Globalink opportunities and explore the contributions that international students can bring to your projects:

Mitacs Globalink Research Internship: This prestigious annual competition brings stellar undergraduates from countries like Australia, Brazil, China (and more!) to Canadian universities for a 12-week research internship. These talented students can enhance your research across multiple humanities and social sciences disciplines.

Mitacs Globalink Research Award: Explore opportunities for research collaborations between Canada and select international partners. Learn how senior undergraduates, graduate students, and postdoctoral fellows can receive funding to conduct a 12- to 24-week research project abroad, under the joint supervision of professors from the home and host institutions.

The session includes a presentation from a Mitacs Globalink representative and a faculty roundtable discussion between PIs who have hosted Globalink-funded students.
