Open Educational Resources (OER) are “teaching, learning and research materials in any medium – digital or otherwise – that reside in the public domain or have been released under an open license that permits no-cost access, use, adaptation and redistribution by others with no or limited restrictions”(UNESCO, 2020). Beyond OER as a general good, COVID-19 has pushed teaching online, exacerbating the visibility and need for open, online content.
We invite interested instructors and librarians to learn about finding, accessing and using OER. Participants will gain an understanding of Creative Commons licensing, and there will be the option for them to produce, publish, and share their own OER with support from functional-specialist librarians and other partners.
Specific dates, times and additional details will be provided closer to the event.
