This session will support trainees in understanding what underpins successful research partnership with Indigenous communities. Foundational theories and central tenets of research with Indigenous communities will be discussed, followed by a deeper examination of the way in which core principles can be actualized.
OBJECTIVES:
- Describe fundamental principles for working with Indigenous communities.
- Outline best practices for realizing principles.
- Provide clear examples of best practices in forming genuine partnerships with Indigenous communities.
