Risks and Responsibilities to Consider when Working with International Industry and Academics

Are you familiar with the nuances of dual use (i.e. civilian and military) applications of your research? Have you received applications from prospective graduate students from other countries with difficult-to-verify CVs? Can you navigate the complicated world of intellectual property in a global context? Are you aware of international export control regulations and whether or not your research qualifies as restricted? 


Join a panel of experts
 who can share the guiding principles of how to work with industry and academia from abroad, including:  

  • Speaker from CSIS - Canadian Security Intelligence Service (CSIS) 
  • Sinead Tuite, Senior Director, Digital Research Infrastructure, Industry Canada - Innovation Science and Economic Development Canada
  • Joshua Cader, Senior Analyst, Global Affairs Canada and the Trade Commissioner’s Service
