Science Literacy Week highlights Canada’s outstanding scientists and science communicators from coast-to-coast. The goals are to showcase the excellence and diversity of Canadian science and to show how exciting science is. For one week in September, libraries, universities, museums and other partners put on a spectacular nationwide festival of science. Science Literacy Week at UTSC revolves around three main goals: 1. Educating and promoting science literacy to the local and national community 2. Highlighting the scientific achievements and research excellence of U of T students and faculty 3. Raising the profile of the UTSC Library as a leader and innovator in science and science literacy.
