Securing Mitacs Funding in the SSAH (OVPR)

Join Mitacs Advisor, Hayley McKay on Tuesday, February 14 from 12-1PM to learn about the Mitacs funding opportunities available to support your collaborative research projects in the social sciences, arts, and humanities through their Accelerate, Elevate and Globalink programs.

Mitacs is a national, independent, not-for-profit organization that supports collaborative research partnerships between academic institutions and industry, not-for-profit, municipal and hospital partners. Through these partnerships, they aim to provide experiential learning opportunities for students, post-docs and recent grads to take part in innovative research and development activities with partner organizations that solve business and societal challenges, while advancing academic research goals.

The panel will include University of Toronto researchers Dr. Mary Elizabeth Luka, from the Department of Arts, Culture and Media and the Critical Digital Humanities Initiative; Dr. Angie Minah Park, from the Department of Management; and Samia Tecle from the Department of Sociology. Researchers from across U of T are welcome to attend.
