Supporting Humanities Research – Town Hall

Session Description

February 11, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am EST

Join us and bring your best ideas!

  • What would your ideal research environment be (on your campus, in your department) and how do we build it?
  • If you dreamt of all you wanted to do …
  • If you thought of your graduate students and what they could do …
  • If you thought of the research community you would like to be part of …
  • If you thought of the international connections that you need …
  • If you thought of public engagement …

On February 11, 2021, 10:00-11:30am, early- and mid-career humanities scholars are invited to share their ideas on how U of T supports can help to strengthen scholarly achievement and impact. This 90-minute session, hosted by Profs. Alison Keith, Martin PickavéNeil ten KortenaarMohamad Tavakoli-Targhi and Alison Smith will provide an opportunity to share and listen to peers about what is working well, where there are gaps, and how we can collectively advance supports for the humanities community of research at U of T. Input from this dialogue will help to shape both short- and long-term recommendations to the VP, Research & Innovation and Strategic Initiatives for helping our scholars to advance their academic missions and attract support for their research.
