Understanding the VPRI: An Overview of the VPRI’s Units & Functions – Jan. 26, 2022

Session Description

January 26, 2022 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm EST

This orientation session will introduce you to the units and teams of the Division of the Vice-President, Research & Innovation (VPRI) and the research administration services they offer. The session will consist of:

  • High-level overviews of each unit/team: VPRI's Chief Administrative Officer, Renee Brost, will present an overview of the VPRI service landscape to help participants understand the ‘big picture’ of existing services.
  • Focused breakout sessions: Breakout sessions, presented by VPRI senior staff, will cover specific VPRI services in more detail. Participants can choose to attend the two breakout room sessions that best align with their roles and needs.

Learning Objectives

1. Navigate existing research support resources within VPRI to obtain the correct support & resources for themselves and colleagues.

2. Articulate the role and functions of different units within VPRI.

3. Network with relevant research support staff.

Note: Each breakout session will be offered twice so that participants can attend two sessions.
