Websites provides key opportunities for faculty members to share their research publications and projects to the public. This serves as a means for recruiting the best graduate students. Therefore, it is important that research and project websites are highly accessible.
This webinar session will act as an introduction to checking research websites for accessibility issues. A common accessibility checker will be used to check website accessibility. Also, the session will highlight the strengths and limitations of the accessibility tracker.
At the end of the session, participants will have a better idea of the accessibility issues that are within their means to fix, and issues that would require the expertise of a developer.

- Understand the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines for the January 2021 deadline.
- Utilize an accessibility checker
- Understand accessibility checker weaknesses
- Identify where to find help and resources
