WEBINAR: Enhancing health research with new environmental exposure datasets from CANUE and CanPath – Nov. 18, 2024
Session Description
November 18 2024 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
CanPath is expanding its collaboration with the Canadian Urban Environmental Health Research Consortium (CANUE) by adding 17 new environmental exposure datasets to its existing data resources. CANUE provides standardized, area-level data on air and noise pollution, green spaces, climate change, and socioeconomic factors, linked to health cohort studies using participant residential postal codes. This webinar will introduce researchers to these new datasets, which include comprehensive measures of green spaces and vegetation, air quality, accessibility and transportation, and socioeconomic conditions. These harmonized datasets will provide researchers with a unique opportunity to explore the intersection of environmental exposures and health outcomes.
- Speakers:
o Dr. Trevor Dummer, National Scientific Co-Director, CanPath
o Sheraz Cheema, Data Manager, CanPath
o Dany Doiron, Managing Director, CANUE
o Joey Syer, Data Director, CANUE
- Date and Time: Monday, November 18, from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm EST
- Audience: Researchers and trainees, particularly those interested in using national health data to support their environmental health research.
