Zotero! Organize your research. Make your life easier
Session Description
June 25, 2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Zotero is a free open-source tool to help you collect, organize, cite, and share research. Not only can Zotero simplify your citations, it can also help you organize your reading notes. Join this 1-hour workshop to see how Zotero can help support your research and coursework.
This session is an introduction to Zotero and is open to all experience levels. We will adjust the content of the workshop based on the size and experience of the group. In general, by the end of the session, you will be able to:
- Save full-text references in Zotero from many different sources (e.g. in Zotero, Firefox or Chrome)
- Generate citations and bibliographies using Zotero, Google, or MS Word
- Organize and sync your Zotero library
- Use group libraries to share your research and collaborate with colleagues
Note: This workshop will use Zoom. You will receive a link a few days before the workshop.
About the Facilitator: Peter Farrell is a Graduate Student Library Assistant at the Engineering & Computer Science Library. He recently completed his Master’s degree at the Faculty of Information and holds an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering. He uses Zotero to organize and take notes on all course readings.
