Cyber Security and Your Research(ers) Office Hours – Summer/Fall 2024

Series Description

As part of its Research Information Security Program (RISP), IT@UofT is hosting monthly “Cyber Security and Your Research(ers) Office Hours” sessions for researchers and research support staff to ask questions about and gain deeper insight into safeguarding their intellectual property and research data, as well as learn about new and existing initiatives, resources, and supports available to secure their research.

Each session will open with a brief presentation (5 – 10 mins.) on a cyber security topic or resource, followed by time for researchers and support staff to ask questions about and/or discuss opportunities and avenues for securing their research data.

Who should attend?
While these sessions are open to everyone, topics will be most relevant to U of T researchers and research support staff.

The Research Information Security Program (RISP)’s goal is to facilitate and enable the innovative research of our academic community while creating and championing opportunities for safeguarding their intellectual property and data integrity. By collaborating with, supporting and advocating for researchers and research administrative and technical staff, RISP helps to foster fruitful solutions and cross-campus connections to address relevant cyber security-related topics and requirements.
