In this talk, Dr. Kimberly A. Truong will provide an overview of how she has used Critical Race Theory as a framework for her research and praxis. Dr. Truong will give an overview of her research on the racialized experiences of graduate students of color and discuss how she developed a Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Office that centers on justice and equity.

This seminar is part of the CIHE Speaker Series: Graduate Education in a Global Context series, offered by the Centre for the Study of Canadian and International Higher Education (CIHE) at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, University of Toronto. It explores the practices of graduate education in various countries, with a particular focus on the disruptions generated by the pandemic and innovative practices that advance the quality of graduate education.
