Data Sciences Institute (DSI) Research Software Development Support Program Info Session

Session Description

November 11, 2021 @ 9:30 am - 10:15 am EST

The University of Toronto Data Sciences Institute is pleased to launch support for Research Software Development via a call for projects.

The aim of the DSI Research Software Development Support Program is to help researchers refine existing software tools to improve usability and robustness or build new tools, disseminate research software beyond the research space in which it is created, and to enhance existing functionality.

The Program will provide the research groups of approved projects access to a professional research software developer. The research software developer will work alongside the research group on a part-time basis for 2 to 6 months.

This is a competitive program and two or three projects will be selected for this first DSI call for projects.

Join Professor Gary Bader, DSI Associate Director, Data Management, Research Software, Advanced Research Computing for this information session to learn more about the DSI and the overall Research Software Development Support Program application process. The session will include time for Q&A. We also welcome any questions you may have in advance.
Please note, there is no direct funding available through this program, but rather access to time from the DSI Research Software Development Team.
