
Introduction to 3D Design with Tinkercad

This interactive workshop introduces the basics of 3D design. Learn to plan a project, master the basics of 3D modelling using the free, web-based TinkerCad application, and personalize your design. Perfect for makers who want to design a digital file for creating customized physical objects, you will leave with an STL file ready for 3D printing. Our instructors have experience in all aspects of 3D technologies in lab and applied contexts and are ready to answer your questions and support your projects.
Participants will:
- Explore the design process from planning to design to printing preparation
- Navigate and understand basic functionalities of TinkerCad 3D design software
- Go step-by-step to design and customize a simple 3D object
- Have an STL format file ready to be 3D printed at the end of the workshop
Note: Computer workstations will be provided. No software download required. Space is limited to 19 participants.
