Applying a holistic, customer-centric approach to how we partner with global industry is easier said than done. It requires our business development community to engage with all aspects of the university, including our different campuses, faculties, institutes and programs. We also must be able to help companies navigate beyond a single mechanism of interaction, addressing touchpoints as disparate as corporate philanthropy, sponsored research, student internships, professional development, entrepreneurship and beyond. Blue Door is a way of working that aims to make a company's U of T journey as seamless and simple as possible, with a single liaison acting as a guide in this complex and decentralized institution.
