The COVID-19 pandemic has required the exploration of new tools thatfacilitate virtual collaboration among researchers. This session will explorethree different Microsoft 365 high-performance collaboration tools: Teams,SharePoint and OneDrive. Building on the foundation laid by the High Performance Collaboration course byEnterprise Applications and Solutions Integration (EASI) this session willhighlight the Microsoft 365 productivity applications and offer newperspectives to researchers on how to use tools like Teams, SharePoint, andOneDrive to collaborate during various points in the research lifecycle. 

This session will explore the application of tools to different researchuse cases such as proposal writing, virtual data collection and collaborativedata analysis.  

To ensure a better understanding of the session, we recommend thatparticipants take the self-paced course on Introduction to Microsoft 365 @ U of T

Learning Objectives

By the end of the session, participants will better be able to: 

  • Understand how Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint can connect U of T researchers in a virtual environment.  
  • Understand how Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint can be used for different research use cases such as proposal writing, virtual data collection and collaborative data analysis. 
  •  Demonstrate how different Microsoft 365 tools can be combined to enhance research collaboration.
