Mitacs Updates for Postsecondary Institution Research Services Staff – Apr. 10, 2024

Mitacs continuously aims to enhance its program offerings to better serve its partners at universities and colleges. In April, Mitacs will host an Information Session to present the upcoming program changes and provide a walkthrough of the recently launched digitized Accelerate application on the Mitacs Registration and Applications Portal (RAP).
Upcoming Changes to Mitacs Programs
- Updates to the Accelerate Template
- Virtual and Hybrid Internship Formats for Accelerate, BSI and Elevate
- Expansion of eligibility to include non-degree university students
- Express Research Proposal for 1-3 IU Accelerate applications
- Streamlining Mitacs Accelerate and BSI offerings
- Streamlining of Elevate application process
Mitacs is working to implement these program changes and expects to launch an updated application process in Fall 2024. Details of these changes will be discussed at the Information session – please register to hear about them from Mitacs personnel.
