Additional Information

Description:

Ontario Collaborative Innovation Platform (OCIP) connects researchers at Ontario’s Higher Education Institutes with industry driven research projects focused on diverse, engaging topics with the goal of applying the expertise in academia to solve problems for SMEs and to support Canadian innovation. Researchers, faculty, and staff can sign up to receive notifications of submitted Innovation Challenges for review and to express interest in potential collaborations. Innovation Challenges (IC) are submitted by businesses throughout the year with the goal of leveraging the expertise of researchers in academia to solve the problem. Once submitted, the IC will be matched to a researcher based on several factors including area of expertise, proximity, and available facilities. Matched researchers will be asked to confirm their interest and availability to complete a Scope of Work on what would be needed to solve the IC. Once the Scope of Work is completed, both the researcher and business are asked if they would like to collaborate on a full-scale project. For full-scale projects OCIP will also provide a list of potential funding sources that can be applied to help support the project. If you know of any research colleagues who would like to participate, feel free to share this opportunity with your networks. Interested researchers can contact ocip@ecampusontario.ca or complete the online registration form.
