Scopus Data Fetcher Walk-Through Tutorial

Session Description

January 26, 2023 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

This webinar is intended to provide a walk-through tutorial of the Data Fetcher. Attendees will leave the webinar with a foundational understanding of:

  • the different ways the Data Fetcher can query Scopus, SciVal, and PlumX databases;
  • the different metadata fields that can be requested;
  • the formats that data can be exported in and their subsequent use cases,
  • some of the enhanced functionalities commonly used in Canada (e.g., network mapping, topic modelling)
  • helpful operating features of the Data Fetcher (e.g., saving recipes to repeat and share analyses)
  • how to troubleshoot usage and where to go for additional support

The webinar will start with a walk-through demo led by Eric Livingston (the developer of the Data Fetcher) that will be recorded for future viewing (~60 minutes) and will be followed by an interactive demo and Q&A where attendees can ask about their specific use cases that will not be recorded to allow open conversation.
