SSHRC Partnership Grants: Proposal Development Information Session – Nov. 2, 2023

This session is designed to support researchers and divisional research support staff as they craft applications for future Partnership Grant (PG) competition. The content will build on the “SSHRC Partnership Program – Models and Strategies for Success" faculty panel webinar held in Spring 2023 and provide information and tools that will help applicants as they finalize their partnerships and proposals. 

In this webinar, faculty and staff will provide information and advice about the review process and on specific sections of the PG proposal.

The session will include:

  • Faculty advice on proposal development from a recent SSHRC PG awardee and former member of a SSHRC adjudication committee
  • Advice on writing to address Equity, Diversity and Inclusion considerations
  • Advice on partner contributions, partner letters, and budget planning.

Learning Objectives

At the end of this session, participants will be able to:

  • Identify techniques and strategies to write a successful Partnership Grant; 
  • Better understand how to position the grant to appeal to the adjudication committee; 
  • Understand resources and support for addressing equity, diversity and inclusion in partnership applications; and
  • Develop a strong draft in advance of the RSO editorial review deadline.
