Session Description

Researchers from the Tutte Institute for Mathematics and Computing (TIMC) at the Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSE) will present a virtual scientific session devoted to Exploratory Analysis for Unstructured Data. In this session, TIMC will present their view considering the latest NSERC-CSE Research Communities Call for Proposals on exploratory analysis of unstructured data. The session will include initial motivations for exploring unstructured data and components that could make up an effective pipeline. Both existing solutions for the various components, as well as outstanding problems or future directions of work, will be considered. The goal is to provide clear directions for a research program to enable effective exploration of large scale unstructured data within the context of the NSERC-CSE call.
