The Bingo Dabber is a voting technique that allows participants to quickly and efficiently identify the ideas that they find most appealing. Participants will view all ideas that emerged during the idea generation portion of the session, and then will independently vote on the most effective ideas to pursue further.
Session Approach
- Gather and display ideas on a large flip chart.
- Invite participants to identify key ideas that meet select filtering criteria (e.g., interesting, innovative, intriguing, compelling, etc.).
- Use a Bingo dabber to mark the most effective ideas.
- (Optional) Rank each item to prioritize the options.
- Virtual Option: Place all ideas on Google Slides. Invite participants to place a graphic (e.g., star) beside the ideas that meet predetermined selection criteria. Compile these into a summary slide, highlighting the most effective ideas.
