Horizon Europe Series: Building Capacity at the University of Toronto

Series Description

Horizon Europe is the world’s largest research and innovation collaboration program, with a budget of C$140 billion (2021-2027). The program is structured in three pillars, and Canada has recently become an associated country for Pillar II: “Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness”. Canadians can now participate in or create international consortia to apply for project calls and receive grants directly from the European Commission. Although finding or establishing these consortia and developing the applications will take time and effort, the rewards for University of Toronto researchers will be considerable in terms of resources, scientific or innovation advancement, and global impact and recognition.

To support the University of Toronto community, the University is hosting a series of webinars to promote information sharing and capacity building.
